The Catch Up Finals Day: Sakura Johnson, Toledo stamp their spot in World Title race

Burleigh Heads provided one last day of spectacle to crown Filipe Toledo and Bettylou Sakura Johnson the 2025 Bonsoy Gold Coast Pro Presented by GWM champs.

Sakura Johnson staked her claim into Gold Coast history with a maiden CT victory over the highly-decorated Sally Fitzgibbons. Plus, the rematch a decade in the making provided a high-performance showdown between Toledo and wildcard, fellow Gold Coast Pro champ, Julian Wilson that sent shockwaves through the fandom on hand.

The CT now leaves the Gold Coast's shine in the rearview mirror with all eyes fixated west on the Western Australia Margaret River Pro beginning May 17 through 25. The fight for CT survival and a brand new set of wheels awaits at the GWM Aussie Treble finale.
